What down payment assistance can first-time buyers get in Texas?
The two statewide options are TDHCA's My First Texas Home and TSAHC's Home Sweet Texas and Homes for Texas Heroes. Both pair a fixed-rate loan with down payment assistance, and some include a mortgage credit certificate. Income and purchase-price limits apply, and not every lender offers them.
